Since starting his coaching career at Walsh, the man many call "Huggy Bear" has become one of six coaches to win 900 or more games when the Mountaineers beat Morehead State 84-67 during first-round play in this season's NCAA tournament.
While Mountaineer fans are currently enjoying Huggins as their coach, Bearcats fans remember fondly when Huggins took over a struggling Bearcats program then becoming the program's winningest basketball coach with 399 wins over 16 years. Since leaving Clifton, Huggins led Kansas State to a 23-12 mark during the 2006-07 season before going back home to West Virginia, where he's led the Mountaineers to 310 wins.
