Monday Aug 30, 2021
Monday Aug 30, 2021
With roster cuts scheduled by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the Cincinnati Bengals made a move trading 2018 first-round draft pick Billy Price to the New York Giants for defensive lineman B.J. Hill and a 2022 conditional seventh-round draft choice.
Price played in 32 games in 2019-20, starting eight games two seasons ago and only one last season after being selected out of Ohio State where he set school records for starts and consecutive starts.
Originally a guard during his college career, Price moved to center his senior season and was named the Rimington Trophy winner as the nation's most outstanding center along with being a unanimous first-team All-American. With the return of Trey Hopkins from injury and the emergence of sixth-round pick Trey Hill out of Georgia, Price was going to be pressed to find a spot along what the Bengals hope will be an improved offensive line to protect quarterback Joe Burrow.
