Dave Lapham brings his unique view from the worlds of football and broadcasting to his ”In The Trenches” podcast presented by First Star Logistics. Lapham, a 3rd Round selection of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1974 NFL Draft, spent ten seasons with the Bengals before playing two years for the USFL New Jersey Generals and owner Donald Trump. After his playing career, Lapham became the Bengals color commentator, a position he’s held for over 30-years. Dave uses connections made in sports and broadcasting to bring an exciting and energetic podcast to the masses with ”In The Trenches” presented by First Star Logistics.

After a playing career at William & Mary, Mark Duffner began a coaching career as a graduate assistant under Ohio State head coach Woody Hayes for two seasons before making his first stop in Cincinnati as defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bearcats (1977-1980).
After becoming a head coach at the college level for 16 seasons, Duffner returned to the Queen City to start a 25-year coaching career in the NFL starting as a linebackers coach (1997-2000) and defensive coordinator (2001-2002) for the Cincinnati Bengals and with stops in Green Bay, Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa Bay before rejoining the Bengals in 2019 as a senior defensive assistant coach.
Coach Duffner joins Dave Lapham In The Trenches presented by First Star Logistics to discuss his Football Life, the joy of being part of this Bengals team led by quarterback Joe Burrow who plays with a defensive mentality, the play of Sam Hubbard, Trey Hendrickson, and B.J. Sunday proved each game is won in all phases of the game as Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo made adjustments in the second half, and Vonn Bell made the play of the game in overtime to give the Bengals offense the ball after the Chiefs won the overtime coin toss putting Evan McPherson in position to provide another game-winning kick.
