Lapham, a 3rd Round selection of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1974 NFL Draft, spent ten seasons with the Bengals before playing two years for the USFL New Jersey Generals and owner Donald Trump. After his playing career, Lapham became the Bengals color commentator, a position he’s held for over 30-years. Another of our top guests on In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics is Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.
Coach Anarumo may have two more in the family looking to join the coaching profession; however, now, he's focused on getting the AFC Champions ready to defend their AFC North title, return to the playoffs and make another run to a Super Bowl.
While comfortable with what the Bengals defense has done so far, tweaks are happing as the Bengals defense added a few new faces in the draft with Daxton Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, Zachary Carter, Tycen Anderson, and Jeffrey Gunter.
While not looking too far ahead, all eyes are starting to focus on Week One opponent, AFC North rival the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Going into his second year with the Cincinnati Bengals, offensive lineman Jackson Carman is working to secure the starting job at left guard for the defending AFC Champion Bengals.
Carman, who played his prep football at local Fairfield (Ohio) High School before taking his talents to the ACC Clemson Tigers, got the call in the Second Round of the 2021 NFL Draft when the Bengals selected the offensive lineman with the 46th overall pick.

Leadership came early to new Cincinnati Bengals safety Tycen Anderson. When others looked to get Anderson to leave his hometown, he rejected their advances and committed to his hometown team, the University of Toledo.
Now, Anderson has accepted to have childhood loyalties changed from a Pittsburgh Steelers fan to a member of the AFC North and AFC Champion Bengals after being selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
