Laps Keys To Bengals Victory Pittsburgh Steelers Game 2
Saturday Nov 19, 2022
Saturday Nov 19, 2022
For the second time during the 2022 NFL and Cincinnati Bengals season, we provide Laps Keys To Bengals Victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Entering the game, the Bengals hold a 5-4 record but remember Week One of the season when they came up three points short in overtime to the Steelers with five turnovers, 23-20 in front of their home fans.
While Joe Burrow is still missing a vital part of the Bengals high powered offense in receiver Ja'Marr Chase, before their bye week, the offense was hitting on all cylinders against the Carolina Panthers.
Now, instead of Mitch Trubisky leading the Steelers' offense, rookie Kenny Pickett is in charge and feeling good coming off an impressive 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.
There is a lot on the line for both teams, with the Bengals having more to lose as they are looking for their first AFC North win on the season and look to recapture the magic they enjoyed at this stage last season when they came off their bye week and marched all the way to the Super Bowl.
First Star Logistics presents Laps Keys To Bengals Victory.

Thursday Nov 17, 2022
Number 14 in your Bengals program, number One in all Bengals hearts, Ken Anderson returns to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss all things Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.
As Bengals Nation knows, Anderson is one of the all-time greats in franchise history and entered the inaugural Bengals Ring of Honor in 2021. After playing for the Bengals from 1971-1986, Anderson took a few years off before returning to the game as the Bengals quarterback coach in 1993. From 1996 to 2000, he served as the team's offensive coordinator and returned from 2001 to 2002 as a quarterback coach.
After a four-year stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Anderson would coach quarterbacks for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2007-2009, working for current Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.
Who better to talk about Sunday's match-up between the two AFC North teams than Anderson?
During his visit, we spoke about the rivalry between the two teams, the play of Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, and the other offensive weapons, along with Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett and the Steelers' offensive and defensive attack.

Coach Anarumo had the Bengals defense at the top of their game Sunday against the Carolina Panthers; now, they'll take a week off, look to bring back a few players missing due to injury, and keep looking forward as they head into the meat of their schedule as each week the stakes will rise as the Bengals look to get their first win in the AFC North, make the playoffs and look to earn a return trip to the Super Bowl.

Dave Lapham Postgame | Bengals Get Right Against Carolina Panthers
Monday Nov 07, 2022
Monday Nov 07, 2022
Coming off their Monday night loss to Cleveland, the Cincinnati Bengals knew they needed to right the ship before heading for their bye week. Joe Mixon heard the call and posted his best game of the season while making history in the process with a five-touchdown game as he rushed for 153 yards and four of the five touchdowns and added 58 yards on four receptions, and his fifth score as the Bengals dismantled the Carolina Panthers 42-21.
But to say the game was all about the play of Joe Burrow, Mixon, and the Bengals' offense would be a mistake. Defensively, Lou Anarumo had his players ready to shut down the Panthers offense in the first half, and as the teams left the field at the half, the Bengals held a 35-0 advantage.
After the game, Dave Lapham jumped In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, to give his thoughts on the Bengals win, the performances of Mixon and Burrow, and the things needed over the next week as the Bengals will take some time off during the bye with hopes of getting several players back from injury before heading to Pittsburgh for a scheduled Sunday night match-up with the Steelers and the need to get their first win in the AFC North this season.

Laps Keys To Bengals Victory Carolina Panthers
Saturday Nov 05, 2022
Saturday Nov 05, 2022
The NFL season enters Week Nine, and Dave Lapham Keys to Victory is back as the Cincinnati Bengals will look to rebound after their Halloween night disaster against the Cleveland Browns.
The Carolina Panthers may be 2-6 but are playing hard for interim head coach Steve Wilks who they would like to get the job full-time.
A lot has happened with the Panthers as they traded their best player, running back Christian McCaffrey, to the San Francisco 49ers and benched quarterback Baker Mayfield in favor of P.J. Walker, a former starting quarterback in the XFL for the Houston Roughnecks, where he led the league in passing touchdowns (15) and passing yards (1,338) in five games before the season was suspended.
The Bengals enter the game with more injuries, as Mike Hilton will miss Sunday.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense need to start quickly, while the defense needs to rebound after their struggles against the Browns.

Solomon Wilcots | Got To Win In The Trenches
Friday Nov 04, 2022
Friday Nov 04, 2022
Former Cincinnati Bengals safety Solomon Wilcots always keeps his opinions real when he's In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics.
Like all Bengals fans, Wilcots did not like what he witnessed Halloween night when the Cleveland Browns knocked down and bloodied some noses on their way to a dominating 32-13 win over the Bengals.
The loss has many, including Wilcots, wondering if the Bengals can find the magic they enjoyed after their bye week last season on their way to the Super Bowl.
The loss in the "Battle of Ohio" gave the Bengals their third loss in the AFC North for the season after going 4-2 last season, and injuries continued to mount with the loss of Chidobe Awuzie, who joins Ja'Marr Chase, D.J. Reader, Josh Tupou, and others since the start of the season.
Wilcots knows the Bengals spent the money and entrusted offensive line coach Frank Pollack to rebuild the weakest part of last year's squad with free-agent signings Alex Cappa, Ted Karras, and La'el Collins, along with drafting Cordell Volson.
Sunday, Joe Burrow will look to lead the Bengals to their fifth win against the Carolina Panthers, who are playing hard-nosed football despite their 2-6 record for interim head coach Steve Wilks.
A win and the Bengals head to their bye week matching their won-loss totals at the same point as last season.
Deep Dive with Wilcots and Lapham as they talk about the highs and lows of this season, dealing with injuries, what the Bengals must do to right the ship, and more.

NBC Sports NFL Insider Peter King | Everybody’s Envious Bengals Got Joe Burrow & More
Wednesday Nov 02, 2022
Wednesday Nov 02, 2022
NBC Sports NFL Insider Peter King tells Dave Lapham why everyone around the NFL is envious of the Cincinnati Bengals having star quarterback Joe Burrow.
In his first visit to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, King talks about what Burrow brings to the franchise he covered when he wrote for The Cincinnati Enquirer (1980-1985).
The longtime friends talk about Monday night's debacle against the Cleveland Browns, the loss of Ja'Marr Chase, and now Chidobe Awuzie.
Did Mike Brown entertain the chance to trade the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft that the Bengals used to select Burrow?
And a look around the National Football League.

Dave Lapham Postgame | Bengals Suffer Injuries and Loss To Cleveland Browns
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
The Cincinnati Bengals entered Monday night's "Battle of Ohio" against the Cleveland Browns expecting Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense to continue their successful ways despite the news of Ja'Marr Chase being out several weeks with an injury.
Instead, Burrow and the Bengals took an old fashion butt-whipping from their cross-state rivals in front of a national audience as they are still looking for their first win in the AFC North.
If losing Chase wasn't big enough leading up to the game, seeing cornerback Chidobe Awuzie go down with what looks like a season-ending knee injury added fuel to a night filled with sacks, a costly early turnover, missed kicks, and a Browns offense running at full speed behind quarterback Jacoby Brissett, running back Nick Chubb, and receiver Amari Cooper.
Following the game, Dave Lapham jumped on the phone with Dave Berk for a special postgame In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss the loss, how the Bengals can address their mounting injuries, and have a successful quick turnaround as the Carolina Panthers will be at Paycor Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Laps Keys To Bengals Victory Cleveland Browns
Sunday Oct 30, 2022
Sunday Oct 30, 2022
The NFL season enters Week Eight, and Dave Lapham Keys to Victory is back for the "Battle of Ohio," with the Cincinnati Bengals heading to Cleveland to battle the Browns.
All looked great for the Bengals coming off their win over the Atlanta Falcons. Then, however, things turned as we learned wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase would be out for several weeks with a hip injury.
***Keys to Victory was recorded before the Chase injury news.***
The Browns are also fighting injuries, but this is a must-win for the Bengals as they've yet to win an AFC North game, having already lost to the Steelers and Ravens.
