Bengals OL Coach Frank Pollack | ”Orlando Brown Jr Is Our Left Tackle Of The Future”

Thursday Mar 16, 2023
Finally! The Bengals finally make a splash in this years free agency. Signing the best offense tackle available in Orlando Brown Jr. Brown has played for the Ravens as a right tackle and then switched to left tackle with the Kansas City Chiefs.
A 4x Pro Bowler in the last four seasons Brown automatically becomes the Bengals best offense lineman. Probably the best since Andrew Whitworth sadly left the Bengals in 2016. After a slow first two days in free agency the Bengals make one of the biggest moves of the young year.
Brown will make history with this signing, the largest signing bonus for an offense lineman in NFL history with 31 million.

Safeties Jessie Bates and Vonn Bell Leave Void In Bengals Secondary
Wednesday Mar 15, 2023
Wednesday Mar 15, 2023
Each year an NFL roster will see changes. Some are good, some not so good. This week, the Cincinnati Bengals saw two significant hits to their secondary when the Killer B's, Jessie Bates III and Vonn Bell, left in free agency for more significant contracts.
Bates is headed to the Atlanta Falcons on a four-year deal at $64.02 million, including $23 million in the first year and $36 million over the first two years. The deal makes Bates the fourth highest-paid safety in NFL history for the time being.
The Bengals originally drafted Bates out of Wake Forest in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his career, Bates would start 79 regular-season games. Last season the Bengals placed the franchise tag on Bates.
Bell will head to the Carolina Panthers on a three-year, $22.5 million contract with a $5.835 million signing bonus and $13 million guaranteed.
Bell was initially drafted out of Ohio State in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. The Bengals signed Bell in March 2020 to a three-year, $18 million contract. Bell started 41 games for the Bengals during the past three seasons.
Jump In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics as Lap looks at the departures of both players and the direction the Bengals may head to replace Bates and Bell on the field.

Bengals TE Coach James Casey Talks 2023 NFL Draft Tight Ends
Monday Mar 13, 2023
Monday Mar 13, 2023
Great having Cincinnati Bengals tight end coach James Casey back to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics.
Since joining the Bengals, Casey has seen a few changes in his tight end room. However, Casey knows there could be changes this offseason as Hayden Hurst and Drew Sample are unrestricted Free Agents, and Mitchell Wilcox, while a restricted Free Agent, has not been tendered a contract.
While Casey knows the Bengals still might look to bring a combination of the trio back into the fold, the 2023 NFL is proving to be one of the deepest tight end drafts in recent memory after several players posted impressive results at the recent NFL Combine.
Lapham and Casey discuss ten top names in this draft class, including the following players.
Luke Musgrave - Oregon StateDalton Kincaid - UtahMichael Mayer - Notre DameDarnell Washington - GeorgiaLuke Schoonmaker - MichiganTucker Kraft - South Dakota StateBrenton Strange - Penn StateSam LaPorta - IowaWill Mallory - Miami (Fla)Josh Whyle - Cincinnati

Longtime Cincinnati Bengals Director of Player Personnel, Duke Tobin, is back In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics.
Coming off the NFL Combine, Tobin and his staff are gearing up for the start of the NFL Free Agency period and the 2023 NFL Draft in April.
However, maybe the first order of business is a contract extension for Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow, who is due to be paid $11.535 million for the 2023 season, but would help the Bengals pay other stars like Tee Higgins, Logan Wilson and Ja'Marr Chase if the two sides could agree on a major extension early.
Also discussed is how the Bengals could go about building their 2023 roster with possible free-agent signings and players they could look to draft when the NFL gets together in Kansas City for the next wave of future NFL stars.
Are the Bengals in the market for a tight end, offensive tackle, or possible cornerback in free agency and the draft?
