Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver coach Troy Walters joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengals win against the Carolina Panthers and how the Bengals wide receiver room is the best in the NFL.
The Bengals are coming off their first win of the 2023 season and a huge part of that win was the great play of the wide receivers. Tee Higgins led the team in receptions with six catches for 60 yards. Jamar Chase also had a great game catching three passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. 
The Bengals will look to improve their win total with a huge matchup against their in-division rival the Baltimore Ravens. The two teams have had some incredible games in the past couple of seasons and hopefully, the Bengals will come out on top for the second week in a row and improve their record to 2-3.

Cincinnati Bengals Earn Their First Win of the 2024 Season | Solomon Wilcots and Dave Lapham React

Former Cincinnati Bengal and sports commentator Solomon Wilcots joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengal's first win of the 2024 season. 
The Bengals finally earned their first win of the season beating the Carolina Panthers 34-24. It was another great day for Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense scoring over 30 points for the second week in a row. 
The Bengals are now two games back in the AFC North and have a huge divisional matchup in Week 5 with the Baltimore Ravens coming to town. The Ravens are coming off a great performance against the Buffalo Bills and have found their identity running the ball extremely well the last two weeks.
The game against Baltimore would be a huge win for the Bengals and put them right where they need to be for a playoff push in the middle of the season. A loss wouldn't end their season but would put them heavily behind in the division and playoff standings.

The Cincinnati Bengals earned their first victory on Sunday afternoon, winning 34-24 over the Carolina Panthers. 
Dave Lapham returned to the First Star Logistics Studios to give his reaction to the Bengals finally winning a Damn game and takes a quick look at their next opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
However, get Lap's insight on why the Bengals succeeded against the Panthers and what they'll have to improve to beat the Ravens.

Former Cincinnati Bengal DB Eric Thomas | Defense MUST Play Better in Week 4 to Save Their Season

Former Cincinnati Bengal defensive back Eric Thomas joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengal's very disappointing 0-3 start and how the team can rebound and save their season. 
It was an amazing game in the Jungle on Monday Night Football as the Commanders beat the Bengals 38-33 in a shootout. Sadly for the Bengals the loss puts them in a 3 game hole for the AFC North and an uphill battle to make the playoffs.
While the offense played great the defense let the Commanders score on all 6 of their offensive possessions. There were obvious problems on the defense with Jayden Daniels going 21/23 passing and throwing for 264 yards and 2 TDs. 
This Sunday is an absolute must-win for the Bengals. The defense needs to play better against former Bengal quarterback Andy Dalton and falling to a 0-4 start would essentially end their season before October.

Cincinnati Bengals OC Dan Pitcher | Offense Made Great Strides In Thriller vs the Kansas City Chiefs

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengal's major offensive improvements in their week 2 thriller against the Kansas City Chiefs. 
Coach Pitcher and Coach Taylor had an amazing game plan against the Chiefs in Week 2, and a big weapon in that game plan was the usage of the Bengal's tight ends. Burrow had a career day throwing to his tight ends, who totaled 14 receptions for 151 yards. Erick All and Mike Gesicki were the big standouts that will have a pivotal role going forward in the 2024 season.
Even though the Bengals lost a thriller vs the defending Super Bowl champions it was great to see the offense back in rhythm after a rough first game against the Patriots.
The Bengals will look to continue their success against the Washington Commanders on MNF in Week 3.

Dave Lapham Reaction Bengals Loss To Kansas City Chiefs

It was another emotional day for Dave Lapham while he called the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs on the First Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network on Sunday afternoon.
On Monday, Lapham returned to the First Star Logistics Studios to express his reaction to the Bengals' 26-25 loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. 
Fans have gotten used to the fact that when these two teams meet, the games will be close, and this one was no different. The Chiefs got a late flag on a 4th-and-16 pass interference call on rookie Daijahn Anthony, which allowed Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker the chance to kick a game-winning 51-yard field goal.
After time to digest the outcome, Lap is ready to react to the heartbreaking loss that moved the Bengals to 0-2 on the season, with the Washington Commanders coming to Paycor Stadium for Monday Night Football.

We welcome one of the best to do it in Centerville, Ohio, native and lifelong Cincinnati Bengals fan Kirk Herbstreit to Dave Lapham In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics.
The former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback and co-captain entered the broadcast arena soon after leaving the game, joining ESPN in 1996, and has become a mainstay on the television sets of college football fans since becoming the lead analyst on College GameDay.
Along with his duties on GameDay, Herbstreit is the lead analyst for ABC's Saturday college football primetime games and joined Prime Video as the color commentator for Thursday Nigh Football with Al Michaels.
We dive into the hectic schedule Herbstreit has during the football season, along with managing his family life with his wife Alison and their four sons, including youngest son Chase, who is a senior quarterback at Cincinnati St. Xavier High School, and Ben, his traveling partner golden retriever, and three other golden retrievers.
A lifelong  Cincinnati Bengals fan, Herbstreit was in attendance for the Bengals loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday and dives into the challenges facing Joe Burrow and Zac Taylor after another poor opening weekend performance and a significant test in Week Two against Patrick Mahones and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin joined In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss several topics around the Bengals.
This episode was recorded before the Bengals season opener and dived into the importance of building the Bengals with strong drafts, as every draft pick from the previous two drafts made the team's roster along with key college-free agents.
Tobin also talked about a critical addition in defensive end KJ Henry, a player the Bengals liked when he came out in the 2023 draft class, and rookies Erick All and Maema Njongmeta, who both showed great promise during training camp and the preseason.
