Cincinnati Bengals DC Lou Anarumo ”Proud Of Our Guys But We Have To Be Better Against The Seahawks”
Cincinnati Bengals defense coordinator Lou Ananrumo joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham to discuss the Bengals' impressive Week 5 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
It was the Ja'Marr Chase show on offense for the Bengals in Week 5 but Coach Anarumo's defense also had a very impressive game. The Bengals had their first touchdown of the season as Cam Taylor Britt picked off Josh Dobbs right after the Cardinal's defense had a goal-line stop against Joe Burrow and company. It was the biggest play of the game as the Bengals took the lead heading into halftime and then kept the momentum going with their first drive of the second half with a 63-yard bomb to Ja'Marr Chase. Josh Dobbs has been a huge surprise around the league this season but Lou and the defense gave him everything he could handle, forcing him to throw his first two interceptions of the season. The Bengals also had three sacks on Dobbs led by Trey Hendrickson who totaled 2.5 pushing his season total to six which is second in the NFL. Lou and the Bengals defense will have their hands full in Week 6 facing a high-powered offense in the Seattle Seahawks but Lou is up for the challenge in what seems like another must-win to keep the Bengals season alive.
